Carrie writes :
“ We have been experimenting the last few years with Seminoles and find that starting them at the base of a tree diagram , rather then in the open , made the most vigorous , productive vine . They love bounteous , honkin ’ chain reactor mulch , too . When the temps arrive at over 100 degrees , our Seminoles seemed to arise in rebellion to the heat ! We grow them quite large , 12″ to 18″ across . ”
I have also noticed that Seminole pumpkins that spring up from the previous year ’s compost galvanic pile do much better than those planted on purpose . With their weedy , rampant growth pattern , I inquire if the salmagundi was lackadaisically cultivated by the Indians , growing around the edge of settlements where waste were cast aside . My friend Mark tell me he had to hack back his vines because they were aggressively taking over his back yard .

This twelvemonth I have some of Mark ’s Seminole pumpkin seeds , as well as seed from a few other friends . It ’s going to be wonderful growing them again . It ’s probably time to get part on primer preparation .
This temperate climate matter is half-baked … I am really not used to have to spend so much time planning out my planting times ! The tropical zone itch me . We could literally go out and plant any meter we wanted . Now I have to plan again .
On Friday we institute two 60′ row of potatoes . We were going to do more yesterday but it was in the 40s and mizzle rain all daylight , so our farming program got put off . Today we would be go to church , except that our van is in the shop so we ’re stuck at home . The Lord must have His reasons . Our fomite die in the drive last Sunday morning time as we were ready to go to church , so this is our second Sunday at home . I hope we will be able to go back this come Sunday .
As for farming , looks like we ’ll assault that tomorrow . A peck needs to get done – and fast !
How adorable is Your tabernacle , O Lord of hosts! My soul longs , yes , even faintsFor the motor inn of the Lord;My heart and my flesh shout out for the living God .
Even the sparrow has witness a home , And the sup a nest for herself , Where she may lay her young — Even Your altars , O Lord of emcee , My King and my God . Blessed are those who dwell in Your house; They will still be praising You . Selah
bless is the man whose strength is in You , Whose heart is determine on pilgrim’s journey . As they pass on through the Valley of Baca , They make it a spring; The rainfall also covers it with [ d]pools . They go from enduringness to strength; Each one appear before God in Zion .
O Lord God of host , hear my prayer;Give spike , O God of Jacob ! SelahO God , lay eyes on our shield , And look upon the face of Your anointed .
For a mean solar day in Your court is better than a thousand . I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my GodThan dwell in the tent of iniquity . For the Lord God is a Lord’s Day and shield; The Lord will give thanksgiving and glory; No good matter will He withholdFrom those who take the air uprightly .
O Lord of emcee , Blessed is the man who confide in You !
