As predict on Friday , we ’re starting off the calendar week back in Daniela Baloi ’s garden in Hudson , Ohio , this time in her veggie garden .
She says,“The picture I am sharing today show our bountiful garden project for this year : the vegetable garden fence . We ’ve been growing vegetables since the first twelvemonth we moved to this property 14 years ago . We built one bring up layer every 2 - 3 years , but in the late years we had trouble protect our crop from the cervid . Every twelvemonth I lost the first craw of tomato plant to the deer and then I would immediately enwrap each garden bed in bird nett . Do n’t ask how I glean and worked around that !
“ This spring my husband muster in two friends and my 11 - year - old girl to help him build the lasting vegetable garden fence . Not only does it protect the garden , but it makes it look keen and prepare , and it ’s easy to work in . In summation to adding crushed rock between the elevate beds my husband brought a water line with a spigot right wing into the decorative pot you see in the garden holding the butterfly stroke nets . We hide a stretchy hose in there and when it ’s not being used you ca n’t even tell it ’s there . ”
