Echeveria’Mauna Loa ' is a complex cross created by Dick Wright in 1976 withEcheveria gibbiflora’Caronculata’and other cultivar in his blood line . It is one of the threeEcheverias in his " Volcano Series " , includingEcheveria’Mauna Loa',Echeveria’Barbillion ' , andEcheveria’Etna ' . like plant are sold asEcheveria’Red Frills ' in Australia andEcheveria’Dugong ' in the Philippines .
Echeveria’Mauna Loa ' is a spectacular succulent that take shape turgid rosette of colorful leaves that crinkle and frill at the edges . The rosettes can grow up to 24 column inch ( 60 curium ) in diam on stout stem that can reach up to 18 inch ( 45 curium ) in acme . The leaves are pale green when young and train shades of dispirited and pink with eld . The edges of the leafage can turn ruddy to burgundy when grow in the sun .
The prime are orange - pinkish , more or less nodding , and come along on a tall biramous inflorescence in declension .
