Winter beauty is in the details
But today she ’s looking at the garden in winter .
Well , here we are at the destruction of 2020 . What a crazy year it has been ! I think I would show you a little of my garden in winter . wintertime is about the computer architecture andstructureof the garden and less about the blooms of the three other seasons . However , it is no less beautiful . good wishes for a peaceable 2021 to all of the gardeners out there !
A beautiful scene of snow on the garden , with a statue of Buddha serenely seat in the middle .

Sometimesfall colorlingers into early winter , as with thisviburnum , still crimson rosy-cheeked red .
A bundle of thinned evergreen branches and berries makes a long - lastingwinter display .
Planters satisfy withevergreensand branches depend all the better with a wanton dusting of snow .

A dwarf Alberta spruce ( Piceaglauca‘Conica ’ Zones 3–6 ) in a container look particularly festive wearing a colored ribbon and a dusting of snow . Remember that plants growing in containers will have their roots exposed to much colder temperature to those growing in the ground , so select fearless varieties or move the container into a sheltered spot for the winter .
Cinnamon fern(Osmundastrumcinnamomeum , Zones 3–9 ) is a wonderful native fern . These are the fertile fronds that give rise the spores for the next contemporaries of ferns , and they persist throughout wintertime , giving great construction to a shade garden in the off - time of year .
Hydrangeaflower heads also string up on for a long prison term , looking perfect with coke resting on them .

bask a northerly garden during the wintertime is all about the point , like the beautiful latticework this shrub makes against the livid snow behind it .
A Cooper ’s hawk paid a visit to the garden , search for a wintertime snack .
Another bird of prey in the garden sits more still .
