Happy Halloween , everyone ! ! Thanks for all the undecomposed wishes yesterday . I ’m so glad that you Northeasterners who chimed in are OK , with only minor damage . I ’ll eventually be able to get back to the office today , but had to dig up these photos off of my married man ’s phone last night for today ’s place .

They ’re of a theater just down the street from mine , with some KILLER black - eyed Susan vines ( Thunbergia alata , one-year ) growing up its columns . The owner of this niggling garden were just getting out of their car when I walk past a couple of months ago , and they match to let me take a few pics . ( they thought I was a bit strange … ) It does n’t take a lot of money to make a first-rate garden , does it ? A few seeds and a act of aid , and you may create this . I love it .
