A simple pond brings lots of life to the garden
My name Krishna Cappa , and I endure in Syracuse , New York . I put a lowly 125 - gallon pond in this yr . I then put three comet goldfish in the pond and many aquatic flora .
Pickerel(Pontederia cordata , Zones 3–10 ) has showy spike of purple peak and is native to wetlands over much of easterly North America . It is an well-to-do - to - spring up plus to the water garden .
The pool may be small , but it is filled with life . Even a small garden can have space for a H2O feature , and bestow one will appeal lots of razz and other wildlife to the garden .

crimson dock ( Rumexsanguineus , Zones 4–8 ) can be grown in veritable garden filth , but it adapts to live in a water garden as well . The leaves have sinister crimson vein , and sometimes they can blush a beautiful red colour , as they have here .
Here ’s the raw pool sitting in the garden , full of life , and with a chair positioned where the gardener can sit and enjoy see the fish .
Water jacinth ( Eichhorniacrassipes ) is a floating water system plant with highly beautiful peak . In colder climates , it is a wonderful increase to the water garden when treated as an annual . In warmer clime ( Zone 9 or warmer ) , it should not be grown , as it can become extremely invasive in native waterways . Luckily for Krishna , the New York winters mean it wo n’t be a job .
