We are incite the farm – and we could n’t be more excited !

For us , it is sincerely go to be an adventure of a lifespan . And one that we are anxious to lead off in devout over the next few calendar week as we venture on a projection to not only grow the farm and exposit our test garden , but create a unparalleled and especial place to host garden socio-economic class , event and more .

Over the last few yr , it had become all too obvious that we were run out of room on our current 2.5 Akka farm . As our family unit ofgardening , cookery and DIY websitescontinued to grow and expand , so did the indigence for more test gardens and areas to support our projects .

And with a small barn and little parking , it was always an adventure to host a garden class or outcome . In fact , although we always felt tough , we often had to move around down requests simply due to our limited size .

unluckily , with homes on all side of our current farm , append more land was merely never going to be an option . And then a little something special happened last fall .

Last fall , we found a 20 acre parcel of land that we simply fall in beloved with . With rolling hills , wooded trails and wide open pasture area , we mean it would be the perfect small get - away outer space to camp and enjoy the great outdoors.(See : Creating An Ultimate Get - Away Space )

The only problem was , the more we go there , the more we fell in sexual love with it . In fact , whenever we drove on to the property , there was simply an amazing belief of peace that settled over both of us .

The more we locomote there , the more we wanted to stay there . And it was n’t long before we start talk over the possibilities of moving our entire farm . And for two the great unwashed that love to take on new adventures – it seemed like the gross opportunity to take a giant leap of organized religion !

Moving a farm certainly is n’t an easy undertaking . For one , there are many things that merely ca n’t move . Like the b , the house , and of course – the garden !

Over the retiring three months , we have been feverishly working on define up the new farm . In accession to putting up a few cabins on the property , we have also started the process of laying out blank space for the new gardens and growing areas .

It will of form take most of the intact year to transition everything into place . Our Bob Hope is to have the farm mostly useable by the spring of 2022 . And then be able to strike the ground running by 2023 .

We have some challenging and exciting goal for the space over the next few years . Luckily , the property already had an existing barn that we could work with . We are expand that presently into an outcome space and to be the centerpiece of a courtyard surface area .

We are also building back many of the spaces we loved most about our current farm – like the key fire pit , pizza oven , and small cabin livelihood spaces .

Even more exciting will be creating a combining woodland anatomy lodge & home next outflow that can host garden form and case on a larger scale . For us , being capable to connect and talk gardening is our first sexual love . And what better place to do that than on the very farm where we grow and write all about it .

And yes – for those that are marvel , our declamatory paint mural sign will be making the journeying too ! It will be cling in the independent barn to attach in the old farm to the newfangled for many eld to come .

As for us , we are only get going to keep on doing what we be intimate – construction , creating , composition and receive sport . One exciting side note to moving the farm this summertime is that it also give us a bit of downtime to end up jaw all 50 states while things are in passage .
