Yesterday we planted about 50 transplantation into the Grocery Row Gardens .
Some of the potatoes were dying back , so we dug them and replaced them with peppers , sweet potatoes , watermelon vine , Jamaican sorrel and some zinnias . We also filled other gap . It ’s been ironical , so the ontogenesis has n’t been what it should be .
We also lost a lot of the cassava we planted last yr . Some is coming back , but we had a dark down to 17 degrees , and we also had a circle of rainwater this wintertime , and between the two , many of the cassava we were overwinter rotted instead of kip until spring .
I think part of the intellect we were more successful with casava when we lived in N / C Florida zona 8b/9a was due to the consistently dry wintertime . The wet winters here also killed our moringa . The combination of freeze with rainwater do a phone number on tropical plants . teetotal and cold is much more survivable .
unluckily , we get juiceless atmospheric condition when the flora need it and rain when they do n’t .
