How professional gardeners grow at home
Today we ’re visiting Ana Pfueger ’s garden .
My married man and I own a landscape business in beautiful New Jersey . Here are a few exposure of my small court terrace . It ’s our short paradise .
The courtyard space comprise of shade - loving plant : fern , astilbe , hydrangea , lily(Liliumsp . ) , bleeding heart(Dicentrasp.),Veronica , Spirea , and Carex . Boxwoods(Buxussp . ) couch the perimeter . I shed an elephant ear(Alocascia escuelenta , Zones 8–10 or as an one-year ) into the mix for a little play .

I had a little fun out front with my containers and windowpane box . Containers had some rhubarb(Rheum rhabarbarum , Zones 5–7),Iresine(bloodleaf , Zones 9–11 or as an annual ) , ivy(Hedera helix , Zones 5–9 ) , caladium , and good - old - fashioned impatiens(Impatiens walleriana , annual ) . They all played well together .
This court terrace garden packs a deal of plants into a small area . The elephant pinna brings bold contrast and a tropical flair to the nuance - loving perennials .
This window box is so much fun , with impatiens waver their agency through a bluff collection of foliage plants , including the white - leaved caladium ( Caladium‘Aaron ’ , zone 9–11 or as one-year ) and the colourful stems of Swiss chard ( Betavulgaris , one-year ) .

The container here echoes the form and coloration of the windowbox but uses some dissimilar plants . A big hosta take middle stage , backed up by more impatiens , a purpleness - leaved oxalis ( Oxalisregnellii , Zones 7–11 or as one-year ) , and a motley Mezoo Livingstone daisy ( Mesembryanthemum‘Mezoo ’ , Zones 10–11 or as one-year ) .
Another view of the court shows how the neatly trim boxwood hedge hold and give order to the lush planting .
various textures and colour of leaf give this space interest and beauty that will last all season long .
