When selecting a garden location , do n’t wander too far from home . The first yr I lived in my house , our family line placed our garden towards the back of our property , near our barn .
We thought this would be a nice , out - of - the - way location that we ’d pass frequently and grow our garden where it would n’t take up much place near our place .
Though we went to our barn daily to care for our animals , it was easy to clip right past our garden , see the widow’s weeds , and cogitate , “ We ’ll get those by and by . ”
However , when you ’re off to your next task , it ’s loose to forget . Then you fail to return until your garden is overtaken by weeds .
Our garden produced that year but not like we ’d hop , so we moved it the next year and have n’t had the issue of negligence since . With this in mind , here are my bakshis on why you should garden close to home :

My other garden are in my front yard . I live about five acres off the road and have a long private road .
By identify my gardens in my front yard , it ensures I must drive by them every time I provide . I take walk along my drive daily , so I must see them every time I ’m out for a walkway as well .
Plus , with my gardens being in front of my home , I care about hold open them beautiful . This all inspires me to avoidneglecting my plants . In twist , we bring out big crop .
When gardening close to home , it also increase the chances of having a water rootage nearby . This is also life-sustaining to your garden ’s success .
The bottomline is to control you place your garden where you’re able to see it , easily get at it , and in a positioning that ’s hard to ward off .
