A variety of wintery views
I bring up of late that we get fewer GPOD entry in the winter — and you all come through ! pot of different people send out in beautiful shots of their wintertime garden , so today I thought I ’d partake in a group of them . We gardeners sure do kick about wintertime , but sometimes it is the most beautiful time of the year .
Jason sent in this beautiful paradigm of a garden statue draped in coke . shrub andgarden artbecome the affection of the garden during the white months .
Another shot from Jason shows a pine back up by a lavender ( Lavandula , Zones 5–8 ) plant . Coniferslike pines are , of course , winter - sake most valuable player , but they often look bully through the wintertime , and the leaves are just as fragrant , no matter the time of twelvemonth .

MJ Heller from Ohio shared this photo with the thought , “ Even on a cold day , we can be comfort with the entwined embrace of a tree . ”
Laura Kaiser of New Milford , Connecticut , partake this shot of a corner of her garden in the coke .
From Kathleen Kuphal come up this beautiful image of a garden torii dusted in frost . Torii are classical Japanese gates , typically find at the entrance of Shinto shrines to signal the transition to a consecrated space .

And from Caroline Blais comes an trope of an unbelievable daybreak go steady through the trees , over a wimp cage . Winter has the in force sunrises ; they are later in the day , so most of us are awake by then , and the leaves are off the trees , so there is less to embarrass your view . In plus , each winter cockcrow promises that we are one day snug to spring !
